What do I do for my clients?
I simplify their lives by doing the research, thinking, planning, proposing, monitoring, evaluating and rebalancing of their investment portfolios so they can concentrate on their own professional and personal lives with the confidence that their investment goals are in line with their life goals.
How am I compensated?
Most of my clients choose to pay for my services via a professional annual fee. The fee is based on a percentage of the funds invested with a minimum fee of $1500. My compensation is 40% of this professional fee and the balance covers ScotiaMcLeod's expenses.
How does my background make me a good wealth advisor?
My background as a research scientist makes me better than most at digging through the piles of diverse information sources and analysts' reports to figure out the best investment opportunities for you at the time that you're investing. I spend a great deal of time reading and sorting through the research and ideas in order to filter out the important from the unimportant information. And my background as a post-secondary instructor taught me how to communicate complex information in ways that are comprehensible to the listener.
